1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using Bablio, or by tapping "I agree" when you sign up, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not access or use Bablio. Your continued use of Bablio means you accept these Terms and any future updates to them.
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Bablio.
2. Who can use Bablio
- You must be an adult, at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live), to create an account or use Bablio.
- You may use Bablio on behalf of your own child, as that child's parent or legal guardian.
- By adding a child's information, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, that the information you provide is about your child, and that you have the authority and consent to provide it.
- Bablio is not intended for use by children themselves.
3. What Bablio is
Bablio is an AI-powered companion to support you as a parent during your baby's early years. It helps you keep your baby's information in one place and offers an AI companion you can chat with for general, everyday guidance and reminders.
Bablio is a supportive companion, not a medical service, and not a replacement for your pediatrician or any professional. Some parts of Bablio rely on third-party services, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Early access (beta)
Bablio is provided as an early-access (beta) product.
- It may be incomplete, may contain errors, and may not always work as intended.
- Features may be added, changed, paused, or removed at any time, with or without notice.
- We make no guarantee of availability, uptime, or that data won't be lost. Please keep your own copies of anything important.
- We may suspend or discontinue Bablio, in whole or in part, at any time.
5. Bablio is not medical advice
Bablio is a companion, not a doctor. Bablio is not a medical, diagnostic, or healthcare service, it is not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Bablio does not replace your pediatrician or any qualified health professional, and using it does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
Everything in Bablio, including any AI replies, reminders, schedules, and general information, is for general informational and educational purposes only. Always seek the advice of your pediatrician or another qualified health professional about your child's health, and never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you saw or received in Bablio.
Bablio is not built for emergencies and must not be relied on in one. If your child may be unwell, or in any emergency, contact a doctor or your local emergency services immediately. Any reliance you place on Bablio for health-related decisions is at your own discretion and risk.
6. About the AI
Bablio's chat is powered by artificial intelligence provided by third parties. AI replies are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, even when they sound confident. Bablio's AI does not provide professional advice of any kind. Always use your own judgment and verify anything important, especially anything health-related, with a qualified professional before relying on it. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on AI output.
7. Acceptable use
When using Bablio, you agree not to:
- Use it for anything unlawful, or in any way that could harm a child.
- Enter another person's information without the right to do so, or invite caregivers who shouldn't have access to your child's data.
- Try to break, overload, copy, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Bablio or our systems, or attempt to extract the AI's underlying instructions or models.
- Rely on Bablio for medical decisions in place of a professional.
8. Your account
- You sign in using a method Bablio supports. Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- When sharing becomes available, you're responsible for anyone you invite as a co-parent or caregiver, and for the access that gives them to your child's data.
- You can stop using Bablio anytime. To delete your account and data, email bablio.app@gmail.com (an in-app option is planned).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe put others or the service at risk.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add, your baby's information, your notes, your photos and videos, and your chat messages ("Your Content"). You grant Bablio only the limited permission needed to operate the service for you: to store Your Content, show it back to you and the caregivers you invite, and send the relevant parts to our service providers (such as our AI provider) to generate replies, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't use Your Content for advertising, and we don't claim ownership of it.
10. Price
Bablio is free during early access, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or payments, and we give early members as much as we can at no cost. As Bablio grows toward its public launch, some of the deeper features may become part of a paid premium experience. If we ever add a paid feature, we'll show you clear terms and pricing before you're charged, never as a surprise.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- "As is." Bablio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and you use it at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that Bablio will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
- Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bablio and the people who operate it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any decisions you make based on the app (including AI replies or health-related information).
- Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law, including India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Where the law doesn't allow a limitation above, it doesn't apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to cover reasonable losses we incur that arise from your misuse of Bablio, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights (for example, entering another person's information without permission).
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of Uttar Pradesh, India. As Bablio expands to other countries, these Terms may change.
14. About the reflections we share
The parent reflections shown on our website are illustrative of the feedback early parents and family have shared with us after seeing or trying Bablio. To respect their privacy, names are changed, and we may lightly edit wording for length and clarity. They're there to give you an honest sense of how Bablio feels to live with, not a promise about your own experience.
Some of these reflections come from people close to us, early supporters, friends, and family, who were among the first to try Bablio. They're shared with their permission, and each one is that person's own honest impression at the time, rather than a claim by us or a guarantee of what your own days with Bablio will look like. As more parents join us in early access, these voices will grow alongside them.
15. Changes to these Terms
Because Bablio is in early access, these Terms will change as the app develops. We may modify them at any time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Bablio after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree to a change, please stop using Bablio.
